We have a lot of admiration for the skill and patience of cross-stitchers here at Newsstand. It must be an incredibly rewarding hobby to practice; slowly but surely bringing a design to life, adding colour and detail with every move of the needle. What you could create would only be limited by your imagination, and a lovely cross-stitched design makes for an excellent gift for someone – there’s nothing quite as lovely as a present as something you’ve made yourself.
Cross Stitcher really covers every aspect of the hobby, from choosing the right colour thread to what to do with a finished design. We love a magazine that is about as comprehensive as it can be, and Cross Stitcher is a prime example of this.
Something else we love is freebies. There’s nothing quite like getting a free gift alongside your magazine to make you feel that you’re getting value out of it. CrossStitcher sometimes includes freebies such as a set of four needles just perfect for the job (we only hope they include a thimble in the next issue for the sake of our poor, perforated thumbs).
