The essential companion for any runners – professional or amateur – out there, Runner’s World magazine is a practical, helpful and fascinating guide to everything that those who run need to know.

Runners’ world contains a great combination of features and practical advice. It brings you the latest running news and coverage of recent races as well as columns from runners that give you an insight into their world. Where Runners World excels, however, is in the advice it contains, covering training, diet and food, equipment – clothing and trainers, and advice on coping with the mental side of running.

Buy a single copy of RUNNERS WORLD or a subscription of your desired length, delivered worldwide. Current issues sent same day up to 3pm! All magazines sent by 1st Class Mail UK & by Airmail worldwide (bar UK over 750g which may go 2nd Class).

A few of the adverts that have been on TV of late that concerned running raised a few eyebrows here at Newsstand. They seemed to suggest that by the simple act of running people could almost transcend their earthly existence, become one with the universe and feel experiences unknown to anyone else. Well, we are far too sceptical, so we assumed that they might be talking a load of – to excuse the antiquated phrase – codswallop. We laughed – they’ve gone for a bit of a run. It’s like walking, only faster. Hardly a transformative experience.

However, having read the great Runner’s World magazine we are now convinced that these adverts are correct. We were wrong, and we apologise to all runners out there. Runner’s World is full of stories and letters from runners about how they find the mental energy to push through barriers, how they manage to break through the dreaded ‘wall’. We firmly believe now that finding a great spot and simply running until you can run no more is a great way to lose all the stress that can accumulate through the day, and clear your mind. It’s just like meditation, only sweatier. NB
