Tank magazine was first published in 1998. It has strong principles which involve giving readers an informed, articulate and original magazine. The writers, artists and photographers involved with the magazine are all hailed to be independent thinkers. The magazine will produce features on a variety of topics such as modern culture, art and lifestyle. It can basically be described as a lifestyle magazine which gives that little something extra.

This magazine says itself that it wants to supply ‘elitism for all’. It is a unique magazine which has an overwhelming desire to give readers something deeper to think about, instead of perhaps getting carried away with the repetitive celebrity obsessed media that is currently taking over.

Tank magazine is for the distinguished reader who wants to break free from the pack and fill their minds with something more meaningful and creative. The magazine will regularly feature articles about up and coming photographers and artists that may be relatively unknown in more commercial circles. We like it because it is the type of magazine that you’d only know about if you were looking for something different. The covers normally contain a single image with minimal writing to tell readers what waits inside. We like the editor’s ballsy attitude. The magazine does not over sell itself and rather leaves it to the reader to discover if they like it for themselves.

This magazine also looks impressive when you first get yours hands on it. It is probably one of the biggest magazines we sell here. Let’s just say that you might have trouble fitting it into your normal sized bookshelf. We like Tank magazine because it has gone out of its way to break the mould. It has an impressive luxurious quality and refuses to contain any articles on anything that has been covered to death by more mainstream magazines. It prides itself on being independent which we think is very refreshing.
