Ladies and Gentlemen! We have a new contender for the crown of Newsstands biggest magazine, a coveted prize we give out whenever we can be bothered to, and which has no trophy or reward in any way!
At an impressive 14 inches high (hold the laughter, thanks), over an inch thick at the spine (careful now) and weighing the best part of a couple of kilos, Commons Et Sense Man certainly has the stats to challenge the best. Sadly however it doesn’t quite outweigh Box magazine, a women’s fashion publication, or the leading heavyweight Hunger Hardback, a UK creativity magazine that scores extra points for being bound as a hardback.
We do, however, have a champion in a new category. Commons Et Sense Man (also winner of the strangest title award) is the new leading ‘lb for £’ magazine we stock, coming in a surprisingly cheap cost for its magnificent weight.
We’ll be honest, when we picked up a copy of this publication we felt like we had shrunk. This is a magazine designed for hefty, muscle-bound giants, who could flick through it and look sadly at the fashions designed for normal sized people that will not fit them. A surprisingly poignant image that one.
Anyway, let’s all hail the new pound for pound champion. Congratulations Commons Et Sense Man! NB
