The three rooms covered in this really rather lovely magazine are the three that pretty much make a home. Pretty much every other room in the house is entirely optional – here’s our list of why the rooms of Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine are the heart and soul of a home.
Bathroom: Where else does the day begin and end? Every morning when we get up we clean our teeth (hopefully), and have a shower as we slowly approach a state of humanity that is acceptable to wider society. If you ever fancy escaping from the world for an hour or so, the bath is the perfect place to do so – bring a book and you’ll soon be spending ages soaking. Also a good place to read the paper, if you get what we mean.
Bedroom: Ah, the place of love and romance. The only room in the house that is truly yours – every other room can be overrun by your kids at any moment, but you need to keep the bedroom a private and special place. Also where you sleep, and we don’t know about you but we love to sleep.
Kitchen: The importance of a good meal really cannot be understated. No need to make the claim for this one, it’s obvious.
So, ditch the other rooms and try living for a month in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen – you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how civilised it will feel. NB
