We don’t have a bad word to say about the writers and readers of Airgun World, and not simply because they possess the knowledge, ability and equipment to hunt us down and shoot us. This magazine is a great read for any fan of shooting air rifles and pistols, providing excellent expert insight into pretty much every aspect of the sport and hobby that could need coverage. The testing of the guns and equipment to be found in the pages of this mag is thorough and comprehensive, meaning that you know that you can trust any advice and recommendations.

Secretly, everyone loves guns. That may seem hugely simplistic, but for some reason the skill required in pointing a pistol or rifle at a target and actually getting it to hit it, not even to say actually hitting the bull’s-eye is impressive and well-regarded by pretty much everyone. This is why legends of famous sharpshooters persist to this day, with the very best being the likes of Annie Oakley and Wild Bill Hickok, legends forged in the lawless days of the Wild West.

Now, we sadly can’t travel back to those times, and licensing for real guns is rightly strictly controlled. The best alternative is to pick up an air rifle – low power ones don’t require a license – join a club and start shooting. NB
