They founded The Ring in 1922 with a mission: to bring their readers a slice of the entire boxing planet with each issue of the magazine. And for over eighty years, they’ve made good on that promise. Every issue of The Ring magazine is packed with spectacular award-winning photos, great one on ones with the professionals and journeys to boxing cards in the most far flung destinations.

Pretty much every major boxer has been featured on the front covers of The Ring magazine, it’s also done more than it’s fair share in unearthing many a future talent in the sport as well as countless scandals that have brought boxing into disrepute - it even had serious allegations made against itself in the 1970’s.

The term “bible of..” is used painfully often in the magazine world - and we have tried to avoid it at Newsstand, we hope that’s appreciated. However, The Ring magazine is where we think it was first coined, let us know if we’re wrong…

We have around 5 or so boxing magazines at Newsstand, most from the UK and a couple of American ones that include The Ring. Boxing fans are well catered for in comparison to most sports - fee free to just buy a single copy or subscribe to any of our magazines for as long or as little time as you need to.
