The definitive, and only, guide to buying a park home and the park-home lifestyle. Park Home & Holiday magazine fills the gap in the market for those either striking out on their first buy, or moving from their current abode.

Park Home brings the prospective park-homer everything from the latest news, legal advice and lifestyle features on these technically mobile home, but is primarily aimed at selling the bungalow style buildings. There are reviews of the latest and most beautiful of parks all across Britain, coverage of caravans and motorhomes, and recommendations of where to look for that perfect pitch.

We weren’t quite sure exactly what a park-home was at first, please do excuse our ignorance. Nevertheless, our crack team of researchers narrowed it down to either a shed in a park, or a delightful, high-quality bungalow style building situated on private land, technically designated as a mobile home yet intended to be lived in permanently. Of course, we gave our researchers a slap round the back of the head for the first suggestion, and a cup of tea and a biscuit for the other.

These handy little homes are, despite their ‘mobile’ classification under the law, full of all the modern conveniences and luxuries that anyone might expect from a normal house. The idea of a house that could be moved, yet is still a home rather than simply a roof over your head, appeals to us here at Newsstand. We like the idea of settling down for a few years somewhere, and once boredom starts to set in, heading off somewhere completely different, meeting new people and experiencing new locales. We’re like sharks, can’t settle down, just got to keep moving. And we can guarantee you that’s the only comparison of park-home owners (and indeed Newsstand), to sharks that has ever been made. Probably. NB
