Model making seems to be a very popular hobby. We can barely move here at Newsstand for the piles of modelling magazines carefully sorted and ready for posting, teetering ominously over us as we work. Whatever you’re interested in, it seems to exist in a handy miniature form. If you’re going to do model making – and it seems a great many of you are – why not build something beautiful?

We can understand the appeal of tanks, soldiers and other assorted land based models. They’re great, highly detailed and so on.
