With great articles on how to learn new techniques and improve your quilts with added details such as prairie points and half square triangles, (see even we sound like we know what we’re talking about with help from this magazine) there’s really is no excuse to not improve your quilt making abilities. This magazine is the official publication of the Quilters Club of America (QCA) which is edited by Marianne Fons and Liz Porter. Readers can rest assured that they will receive the very best advice from the people with all the know-how in the world of quilt making.
There will be individual projects with step-by-step instructions on how to create the quilts yourself. The instructions are very detailed and straight forward so any fan of quilt making can give them a good go. Love of Quilting has a pleasant approach with often rather sweet descriptions of each quilt, for example one quilt design was described as ‘fresh as a sunny day’ and another was described as ‘sweetheart fairies’. It’s all very charming and girly, which is all very lovely, especially if you need a fix of pretty pink things.
From reading this magazine we get the sense that quilting has a much larger fan base than we probably realised. There are sections at the beginning of the magazine which provide a forum for the members of the Quilters Club of America. There will be debates on whether it’s a good idea to sew in stilettos and amusing sections on how to become a QCA groupie!
