This magazine really is one of a kind. It could be argued that it takes Private Eye as it’s inspiration. Whether that is true or not, The Jackdaw is a bi monthly satirical, fun poking, review of the Arts world. A no holds barred attack would be another way of looking at it but whichever way it’s an amusing and well informed readAimed at those who love their Arts but prefer something a little different.

This is the sort of magazine that we like here at Newsstand. We don’t pretend to know the full history of it, but one gets the impression that it was started by one man on a mission and has developed into something very special away from the mainstream.
It’s print quality is on a par with Private Eye, but the content is very funny and it also keeps you in touch with exhibitions and the general arts calendar/high flyers.
