Sadly we were never in the choir at school, mainly because when we sing it sounds like a strangled cat! Nevertheless even the most tone deaf reader will appreciate the beautiful sounds that can be created with an organ and a beautiful sounding choir. Even readers who don’t feel a particular affinity to cathedrals or churches can’t deny that the haunting piercing sounds created are definitely unlike anything else around today.

Avid fans of organ and choral music will be able to stay up to date on the entire latest happenings with this magazine. We also think that readers who may be budding organ players themselves will be able to get some useful inspiration from reading the articles on current composers.

Newsstand HQ is currently based in Canterbury which as everyone will know features one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the country. We rarely think about how lucky we are to live so close to such a beautiful building. Next time we walk past the cathedral we might just venture inside to listen to some haunting organ music and close our eyes and kid ourselves that we are part of the amazing sounding choir. We’ll do our best not to start singing though!
