RAF News is published by the Ministry of Defence, and is the official newspaper of the Royal Air Force. As such it perfectly serves the interests of those who are in active service the Air Force – all 75,000 or so of you – and those who have relatives and loved ones serving.

It can of course be a worrying thing, knowing that someone you care about is potentially in the firing line. Thankfully casualties in war are fairly low in this age of highly advanced vehicles and technologies, but that worry never goes away. The danger also brings with it a strong sense of community, however, and you can really fell that in the pages of RAF News. It is full of stories about RAF personnel raising money for charity, taking part in sporting tournaments such as rugby 7s, as well as touching and moving tributes to those veterans and fallen heroes from earlier times.

This newspaper is perfect for those who need to know all about what is going on in the RAF, but could also be a great read for anyone interested in contemporary and historical aviation. Whatever your personal feelings towards war are, everyone can respect the bravery, honour and valour of those who serve in the RAF. NB
